We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer or Process Engineer in East Kent to join the Manufacturing Engineering department for a company with a niche mechanical product and Global reach.

  • £35-45K depending on experience
  • 25 days annual leave + 8 days bank holiday + 5 buy back days

Acting as point of reference for resolution of production related issues.

Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation for new and existing products in accordance with relevant engineering drawings and standards.

Create and maintain manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and test apparatus, identify and implement improved process efficiency and cost reductions through lean tools/techniques, and utilisation of plant equipment.

Lead training and team development for production processes including setting and operation of machine centres.

Key skills

  • Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification (Degree, HND, City and Guilds or apprentice trained)
  • Ideally 5 years plus working experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Strong computer programming skills and exceptional problem solver
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
