Accelerate Teaching is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join a prestigious secondary school in Bradford. We are seeking an inspiring educator who is ready to make a lasting impact on students' academic journey starting from September 2024.

Role Overview:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to explore the fascinating world of science. You will join a dynamic department committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Outstanding Lessons: Plan and execute effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring all students are challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of a stimulating and comprehensive science curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Student Engagement: Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and cultivate a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students' work, provide constructive feedback, and track progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A recognised teaching qualification and QTS are essential.
  • Relevant Experience: Proven experience in teaching science at the secondary level is required.
  • Strong Subject Knowledge: A deep understanding of the science curriculum and the ability to convey complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to nurturing students' curiosity and enthusiasm for science.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
