Requirements Engineer

Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a dedicated Requirements Engineer for a contract role, working primarily on the Category A MOD programme, Skynet 6. This role is set within Defence Digital at MOD Corsham and allows for a flexible mix of working from home and on-site attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scoping complex problems and mobilising initiatives to navigate ambiguity and identify solutions.
- Planning for Skynet spacecraft locations and other immediate tasks.
- Driving solutions to meet capability needs while assisting the Skynet Requirements Manager and Capability Sponsor in making significant decisions.
- Engaging with stakeholders across MOD to gather inputs, advice, comments, and opinions.
- Leading and facilitating meetings and discussions with various internal teams and stakeholders, including Capability Sponsor and team, Skynet Chief Engineer, Systems Engineers, Requirements Engineers, Programme Boards, and other relevant MOD staff.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in SATCOM and requirements engineering within the Defence sector.
- Wide knowledge of systems analysis and systems engineering techniques.
- Ability to understand and navigate intricate and interconnected problems, applying appropriate approaches for stakeholder agreement.
- Capability in handling uncertainty and challenges.
- Proficiency in proposing approaches that aid stakeholders in gaining confidence to make significant decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- L2 security clearance and must hold UK nationality.
Desirable Qualifications:
- L3 security clearance.
- Experience in requirements work on MOD Cat A or B programmes.
- Knowledge and experience in satellite communications.
- Experience working in MOD with access to a MODNET account and laptop.
