Brook Street are pleased to announce a readily available position within The Law Courts of Yeovil BA20 1SW working as an Administrative Officer within Ministry of Justice.
The role is based on a full-time, on-site temporary assignment 30/09/24 with a very high chance of extension
Monday-Thursday between hours 9-5 at an hourly rate of £11.88, 30 mins Lunch.
Friday 9-4.30


Our Admin Officers play a critical role, providing excellent administrative support and customer service to court users, judiciary, and management.
HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family Courts and Tribunals in England and Wales. Crown Court Admin Officers are responsible for management of criminal digital files in preparation for hearings involving correspondence and general enquiries.
The Crown office handles with enquiries from criminal justice agencies, solicitors, barristers and public via post, email, telephone, and face to face.
Deal with full range of serious criminal work as well as management of jurors.
You will be assigned to teams to carry out a variety of general administrative duties to progress cases through the court/tribunal system or provide support to other functions within HMCTS.

" Administration
o Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
o Producing court/tribunal documents
o General photocopying and filing
o Creating and updating records on in-house computer system and data input
o Post opening and dispatch
o Booking, preparing and organising meeting rooms, supporting training courses and other group activities
o Preparing meeting agenda, joining instructions, handouts etc.

What will the successful candidate look like?

The post holder is required to work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management which are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post.
We are looking for resilient, resourceful, and adaptable individuals who can show they have the experience required to deliver in a fast-paced organisation and can thrive in an environment that is changing constantly.
You will need strong organisational and communication skills as well as being a good team player. You will demonstrate a strong ability to prioritise workloads, adapt to changing priorities and most importantly put the customer at the forefront of everything you do.
The role is subject to 3 years` referencing and a Standard DBS check.
