Offshore Civil Engineer required for a major offshore wind developer based in Poland

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leading interface for onshore civil scope between global project team and local stakeholders. Act as local leader (source of knowledge) in the field of the offshore construction processes considering authority rules, regulations and legal aspects in country.
  • Support development of offshore civil scope and follow up related issues in studies as well as maturation of deliveries within structural and architect disciplines as required per project phase, with focus on design development and construction and commissioning activities.
  • Develop and maintain local requirements for offshore civil package in line with client standards and aligned with global project team.
  • Follow-up work within civil, offshore structural and architect disciplines in the project. Main focus on offshore cable corridors and substations, foundations, WTG, marine transport and installation (T&I) as well as support permitting in the field of environmental reports, etc.
  • Develop documentation for and support procurement processes for offshore packages. After contract award follow-up Contractor to ensure deliveries in line with scope of work, budget, and schedule. Provide Contractor with input, clarifications and maintain contact as necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in offshore projects (wind, oil & gas or hydrotechnical structures).
  • Experience gained both in design and on construction site.
  • Engineering experience with a good understanding of project development and stakeholders' coordination.
  • Excellent understanding of technical documentation in English.
  • Practical knowledge of Construction Law in country.
  • Team oriented with well-developed interpersonal and co-operation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and good understanding of total value chain.
  • Target driven and with a continuous improvement drive.
  • Unlimited construction license - chartered engineer is an advantage.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering (eg. Construction Civil, Marine, Hydrotechnical, Mechanical).
