Claims Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Global Reinsurance business who are looking for a Claims Technician to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid working role based in West Sussex.

This role will consist of providing management and settlement of pre-existing claims as well as dealing with developing claims.

Role

• Reach out to brokers and cedants for updates on static claims and obtain the status.
• Accurately input and update claims data/information in the system following best practices.
• Prepare and present clear and concise reports, both written and verbal, to senior management.
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with all relevant parties, including cedants, brokers, co-reinsurers, and legal representatives, in managing and analysing reinsurance claim exposures.
• Ensure all policy obligations are fulfilled and customers are treated fairly.
• Adhere to all compliance requirements, maintain confidentiality, and represent the company by modelling, enforcing, and following all company policies.
• Achieve set objectives.

Experience

• Analytical Skills
• Proven 3-5 years Claims experience
• Negotiation skills
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

Salary – £50,000

Working pattern – Initially in the office with Hybrid becoming available after settled (2 days in officer per week)

Hours – 9 – 5pm
