Role and Responsibilities: As the SENDCo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all students with special educational needs and disabilities receive the support they need to succeed. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to support students' learning and well-being.
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individualised support plans.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students with SEND to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Providing guidance and training to staff on best practices in SEND education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified SENDCo with relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
