Role Summary: The Field Manager oversees the regional build delivery partner for the fibre upgrade program. This multiyear initiative, starting in South Glasgow in January 2024, extends to other areas including Glasgow North, Barrhead, Johnstone, Erskine, Irvine, Greenock, and Edinburgh. The role involves managing a team of 3 or 4, as well as subcontractors.
Responsibilities:

  • Manage all build partner activities on site for Project Mustang within the designated region.
  • Ensure compliance with VMO2 standards, health and safety guidelines, and relevant specifications.
  • Handle customer-related issues and collaborate with other VMO2 internal departments for resolution.
  • Monitor adherence to build standards, quality, and compliance.
  • Track completion status and report back to the Mustang Regional Delivery Manager.
  • Approve deviations from estimates or compensation events in alignment with VMO2 design standards.
  • Act as a key stakeholder, overseeing regional delivery, compliance, and health and safety teams.
  • Maintain local authority and resident liaison management to prevent delays.
  • Address regional project risks promptly to achieve targets.
  • Regularly report on key deliverables to stakeholders.
  • Conduct build and health and safety audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage third-party damages through the relevant VMO2 team.
