Build Recruitment is currently partnered with a reputable social housing refurbishment contractor with their search for a Quantity Surveyor.

In this position, you will undertake site visits and perform surveying duties, ensuring your line manager is regularly updated on the progress of all accounts, including both client and sub-contract, through to completion. You will exercise effective commercial control over all assigned projects, providing timely and precise documentation in line with the reporting schedule, particularly CVRs, forecasts, continuous improvement documents, cash flow forecasts, and the commercial register. Collaborating with the Procurement Team, you will ensure the procurement of sub-trades and suppliers is conducted promptly and cost-effectively, and oversee the timely production of the main and sub-contract final accounts. This includes re-measuring as needed to secure the best outcome, evaluating and agreeing on all variations, extensions of time, and claims for loss and expense.

Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise in measurement and valuation. A solid understanding of budget and forecast management, CVRs, and supplementary financial reports and final accounts is essential. Familiarity with responsive, cyclical, and planned maintenance is required, along with proficiency in IT systems and software. Knowledge of NHF SOR version 7 is desirable, as is holding a RICS qualification.
