Masterclass Education are working with a local education and care setting near South Cambridgeshire. This setting excels at providing support for young adults with sever and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. They offer bespoke services for the young people they are supporting, including different theraputic interventions and education opportunities.

This role is fantastic for someone looking for the next development opportunity in their career within the education/care sector.

The role involves:

  • Managing a team of support workers (including senior support workers) to maintain a positive environment
  • Helping with the onboarding of new staff members including support throughout their training and ongoing CPd
  • Dealing with performance management and highlights areas of improvement
  • Delegating day-to-day tasks and ensuring staffing levels are met
  • Regular sleep-in responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of person-centred support 

A suitable candidate will have:

  • QCF Level 3 in Adult Social Care
  • Shift/Team Leading Experience
  • Willingness to learn and to go the extra mile
  • Ability to guide and encourage supportive independence when possible
  • Exceptional communication skills and patience
  • Resilient with a robust and positive nature
  • Ability to be creative in meeting the needs of the young adults.
