Role Overview: We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs at a school in Calne, Wiltshire. Ideally you will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in education and the ability to engage with a diverse range of students learning styles.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering interactive and engaging lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Carry out one-on-one support to students requiring additional assistance with their learning whist ensuring that individual educational goals and needs are met.
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusive environment amongst the students.
  • Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of the students.
  • Work with the SENCO to monitor and record student progress.

What you will need to be a part of the Class People team:

  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A valid right to work in the UK
  • Strong classroom leadership and management skills
  • Previous experience in a similar education setting preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
