Tunnelling Geotechnical Engineer

Carmichael UK are seeking a shift geotechnical engineer to complete tunnel to shaft connections on the Hinkley Point C - Bridgewater
As Geotechnical Engineer you will be working 10-12 hour shifts on a 03:00-07:00, 07:00-17:00, 17:00-03:00 to complete the works.
About the role:
- To perform geological face mapping during tunnelling excavation works
- To collect and report the monitoring Data during tunnelling works performance
- To assist in the preparation of documentation for DRM Meeting.
- To check if RESS instructions are implemented on site and inform Senior Geotechnical Engineers for any change on the following methods.
- To check the conformance with the Design provisions and drawings.
- To prepare Method statements and monitoring procedures for review.
About You:
- Diploma in Engineering Geology
- Previous Experience in Geotechnical and tunnelling works is desirable
- Knowledge in Rock Mass Classification and monitoring methods for tunnelling works
- Fit to Work in Underground Environment
- Good Computer and communication Skills
Rate is inside IR35 and paid per shift. Rate is inclusive of all travel/lodge etc
