At AK Teaching, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to join a SEND School in Leeds. This full-time position begins as a 12-week temporary contract with the potential to become permanent, offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students with behavioural challenges to help them engage effectively in their learning.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to develop and implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents as necessary.
  • Support students in developing social skills and coping mechanisms to manage their behaviour.
  • Implement individual behaviour plans and support interventions tailored to students' specific needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and best practices.
  • Promote the welfare of students by adhering to all safeguarding policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in behaviour support or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and interventions.
  • Commitment to creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment for all students.
