We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Spa Therapist to join a luxurious hotel spa in the Royal Mile, Edinburgh. This spa services both esteemed hotel guests and regular valued customers. The Spa features three serene treatment rooms, one being a double room, offering a tranquil escape and top-tier services using Elemis products and Made for Life Organics.

Working Hours:

• 5 days a week, ideally Tuesday to Saturday

Responsibilities include:

• Approximately 60% of your time will be spent providing treatments, while 40% spent on other responsibilites.
• Manage the stock room efficiently.
• In the absence of the manager, perform comprehensive salon checks before opening and during the day.
• Make necessary schedule adjustments as required.
• Oversee the treatment column, ensuring smooth booking processes, necessary patch tests, and promoting rebookings or referrals.
• Carry out daily room audits to maintain high standards.
• Ensure accurate records are kept of all client data, completed on tablets, and treatment notes are up to date.
• Discipline and guide staff to create a positive working atmosphere.
• Ensure the salon’s cleanliness and maintenance align with company policies.
• Assign appropriate tasks to therapists when they are not engaged with clients.
• Hold daily meetings or ensure everyone reads the huddle sheet each day.
• Record and communicate any issues or complaints from staff or clients, passing them to the directors if necessary.
• Consistently work towards achieving treatment and retail targets.

Requirements:

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in beauty or massage therapy
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Reception experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
