Job Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for art and a commitment to developing students' creative skills and appreciation for the visual arts. You will be responsible for teaching art across various key stages, planning and delivering engaging lessons, and contributing to the overall artistic development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and styles.
  • Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student expression and experimentation.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Organise and participate in school art exhibitions, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into cross-curricular projects and school events.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in art education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching art at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of art techniques, history, and contemporary practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.

Desirable:

  • Experience in organising and leading art-related extracurricular activities and projects.
  • Proficiency in digital art tools and software.
