About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee a prestigious £4 million new build project in Cardiff. This exciting development includes the construction of modern apartments and a car park, utilizing a concrete frame structure. The successful candidate will lead the project from inception to completion, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment. Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure that all work meets the specified standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Safety Management: Enforce strict health and safety protocols on site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, consultants, and team members. Provide regular progress updates and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and issues early, and develop effective strategies to mitigate them. Resolve any on-site challenges that arise during the construction process.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project expenditure, manage cost control processes, and ensure the project remains within the financial parameters set.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, particularly in managing large-scale projects involving concrete frame structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
