Belcan Workforce Solutions is on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Reporting Accountant to become part of our client's Aberdeen team. Our client operates across various markets, from chemicals to renewables and are passionate about enhancing asset efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.

In this role...

As a Reporting Accountant you'll be the cornerstone of the financial accuracy and timeliness, especially when it comes to legal and consolidated statutory reporting for our client's entities in the UK and Denmark. You'll need to have a keen eye for detail and a solid grasp of accounting policies because you'll be ensuring everything is up to the mark and compliant with GAAP.

You'll be working on financial statements, making sure all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed, and that every document is filed just right. Each month and quarter, you'll be the one analysing the financial health, comparing it against forecasts and budgets, and providing insights that really matter.

You'll be working closely with teams across the company and beyond-think tax departments, auditors, and various functional teams-to make sure the financial story is told accurately and their statutory position is reflected perfectly in their accounting systems.

What do we expect from you?

You must have an accounting degree and a professional qualification like CIMA, ACCA, or ACA. You will have experience in UK GAAP and IFRS. You must also be experienced in reporting accountancy, ideally within a group reporting environment. You'll be a wizard with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, and your attention to detail will be second to none. You'll be organized, quality-focused, and able to juggle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Ideally you will have managerial experience.
