£156,000 - £168,000/annum + medical + visa + flights

Randstad has partner with an established construction business in the search for an experienced Project Director to lead a major rail project in the UAE. Reporting to the CEO & Board, the Project Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project through execution to testing & commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the Company representative with the Client and Subcontractors
  • Lead the overall planning, coordination, and execution of rail civil construction projects, ensuring adherence to project time-lines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards
  • Establish project requirements for all areas of the project and monitor and control the adherence to these requirements
  • Manage commercial aspects and changes to project cost or schedule
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resource management
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, Masters preferred
  • 20+ years of experience managing design & build projects
  • Demonstrable Rail experience acting as the Project Director
  • Middle East project experience
  • Experience in negotiating commercial contracts to successful closeout.
  • Strong Management and communication experience required.
