Do you have an interest in construction industry, and the desire to learn the intracies of the work of a Site Engineer? Are you keen to progess on-the-job, whilst studying for a construction qualification (Lev 3 / HNC / BTEC or similar)? If so, this fantastic opportunity may be the position you have been looking for.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Site Engineer to work on a diverse range of construction projects for a highly successful building contractor. You will be required to work on sites across the Cambridgeshire region so will need to hold a full UK driving licence.

This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work on new build and refurbishment projects from £1M to £60M in the education, automotive, leisure, retail and pharmaceutical sectors. The Company will also produce a training and development plan to ensure you career is developed and your ambitions are achieved through:
• CPD
• Project based training
• One-to-one appraisals
*Further education

Reporting into the Site Engineer, you will be involved in:

Assisting with setting-out using Total Station kit and the latest technology (full training will be given)
Inspecting, preparing and monitoring work in accordance with drawings, specifications and agreed programme
Investigating and answering technical queries under the guidance of an experienced Engineer
Work witht he project team to produce accurate data and as-build drawings.
Liase with specialist sub-contractors, building mutually positive working relationships.

The Trainee Site Engineer will have the following experience and qualifications:

* Completed/currently studying/willing to undertake HNC/HND/ Degree in a Construction related discipline (or willingness to undertake day release)
* CSCS card preferred but training/test can be arranged
* some construction experience preferred
* Grade 5 or above at GCSE in Maths and English
* Good level of IT skills

This is a full-time, employed postion. Working hours 7.30am to 5pm.

Candiates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
