The company

Inside Construction have been appointed to recruit a Project Manager for a cost consultancy who provide cost, project and programme management services. They specialise in retail refurbishment and fit out building solutions. With a growing portfolio of clients, they are adding to their operations team.

The role

The main purpose of the role is to take overall operational responsibility for project. It is the Project Manager’s responsibly to ensure projects are ran safely and delivered on time and within budget. To work closely with the client to ensure expectations are met and communication runs smoothly throughout the full project lifecycle.

Reporting into the Associate Director you will manage the client and site operations including the management of all sub-contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Preconstruction including pre delivery of works, scoping the job, site set up, RAMS, H&S file, chairing meetings.
• Liaising with the client and always promoting the brand of the business.
• Build programming and reporting on build progress.
• Managing quality.
• Answering technical queries
• Holding regular meetings with client and subcontractors.
• Asbestos management
• Cost reporting
• Closing out defects/snagging
• Client/project handover

The Person

This opportunity would suit an experienced Project Manager or Senior Site Manager with a broad understanding of building solutions and experience of running commercial refurb projects up to 5m. Communication is a key skill required for this role as it’s essential you can manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You must be organised and a proficient planner who’ always looking ahead. It’s essential you have excellent I.T skills and SMSTS, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness and CSCS. It’s also important you understand Asta or other build programming software. Retail or healthcare experience is preferred.
