We are looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor for a Swindon based company.

About the Logistics Supervisor role:

As the Logistics Supervisor the purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate a team of 4 staff, within a busy logistics operation, ensuring all correspondence and operational records are processed in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities for the Logistics Supervisor role:

• Ensure all Customer orders are processed on the Warehouse Management System.
• Analyse data to improve supply chain efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Utilise transportation management systems to optimise delivery schedules and routes
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with other departments across the organisation to ensure the flow of goods daily
• Overseeing and monitoring the daily activities of the customer service operation
• Responsible for coaching, training and performance management across the team
• Investigating and resolving customer service issues and complaints
• Allocation of stock
• Managing and authenticating invoices
• Look at ways of saving costs across the department

Key Skills & Experience required for the Logistics Supervisor role:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the logistics sector
• Proficient IT user, including Microsoft Packages including Excel, SharePoint and Outlook
• Ability to take responsibility and use own initiative
• Be proactive and adaptable
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong people skills
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload
• Attention to detail and accuracy
