My client, a world leader in the defence sector, requires an Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join their team in Stevenage and play a crucial role in the production, repair and modification of their advanced missile and weapons products.

Electrical Manufacturing Technician

The Electrical Manufacturing Technician will have the opportunity to apply their expertise across a range of responsibilities, from ensuring timely manufacturing build and inspection processes to maintaining impeccable workmanship standards and product quality.  As such, a keen eye for detail will be vital in delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities will include:
 

• The production, repair and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specification requirements.
• Apply their versatile skills across a range of tasks.
• Be fully conversant with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing cycle.
• Ensure manufacturing build, inspection and, where relevant, inspection times are met.
• Check and complete all required manufacturing data requirements.
• Maintain to the highest-level workmanship standards and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
• Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure.
• Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits.

To be considered for this role, applicants MUST have completed a formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 – this is a mandatory requirement for this role.  In addition, formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent certificate would be ideal, but this must be in addition to, rather than in place of, the apprenticeship route.

You will have previous experience in a similar electrical manufacturing role, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will also need proven planning and organising skills.
