Junior Project Engineer

  • Location: Wembley
  • Working Hours: Monday-Friday

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to assist in the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects. This role supports the Engineering Manager and focuses on timely project delivery, adherence to standards, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project feasibility, scope, and procurement, including liaising with suppliers.
  • Execute projects from start to handover, ensuring cost control, forecasting, and documentation.
  • Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) of new equipment at supplier sites.
  • Develop Safe Working Procedures (SWP) for equipment.
  • Provide administrative support and maintain the engineering budget.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and relevant legislation.
  • Manage communication with contractors and suppliers for parts and services.
  • Complete follow-up actions from meetings and prepare performance reports.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with food manufacturing machines (tray sealers, mixers, conveyors, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in written English.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, CAD, and Microsoft Office (SAP knowledge is a plus).

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
