Job Overview
PRS are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our clients team based on a static site in Southampton. There is also opportunity for a Permanent Electrical Engineer to be based on the outskirts of Southampton on a different contract.
 
Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities  
  • Responsible for PPM, Proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames
  • Responsible for other types of building services maintenance to include Fabric, HVAC, Mechanical and related tasks
  • Provide call out response (optional)
  • Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship
  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
 
Maintenance Electrician Requirements 
  • C&G NVQ 3 or equivalent in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience working on Maintenance within a commercial environment ideally within the facilities management sector.
