Head of Service (Adult Social Care)

Bath and North East Somerset Council are looking to expand their current team. The Adult Social Care team is looking for a Head of Service to join a well-structured and organised team. The Adult Social Care Head of Service role will be for an initial 6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Adult Social Care Head of Service

• The primary purpose of this post is to lead and manage the council's Adult Social Care and Occupational Therapy Teams in accordance with the Council's Vision and Values, policy and other objectives. In doing this to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
• To lead on the operational and strategic development of services and performance targets for services directly provided and services commissioned under delegated responsibilities.
• The post holder will have responsibility for the leadership of statutory social care services and social work practice, including ensuring governance and safeguarding standards, in the context of the operational delivery of all adult social care services within BaNES. This will include working closely with all members of the Senior Management team.

Requirements / Experience preferred:

• Post qualifying experience of working as a Head of Service within the UK Social Care industry.
• HCPC Registration
• 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
