My client is recruiting an experienced Technical Accountant to join our team immediately, on a maternity cover basis, through the end of the year. Our client, a well-regarded local authority, needs a Technical Accountant to support their finance team during a critical period of transformation. This role ensures smooth financial operations and delivers high-quality financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Statement Preparation: Deliver and oversee the production of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Treasury and Capital Oversight: Manage and guide treasury functions and capital asset oversight.
• Audit Coordination: Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth audit processes.
• Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of four, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
• Operational Support: Act as a reliable partner who can alleviate pressure by effectively managing day-to-day accounting operations.

Requirements:
