As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you'll be monitoring payments that come through to the inbox, reconciling statements and filing. Our client is looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk who has ideally had 1 year working in a purchase ledger background and have previously worked on Sage.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Purchase Ledger Clerk generally assists the accounts department as necessary, providing any information required by the Finance Director.
The Role of the Purchase Ledger Clerk:
- Process invoices, reconciling delivery notes to invoices received and purchase orders
- Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
- Assist in the preparation of purchase summaries
- Process business expense returns
- Cashbook and petty cash cheques
- Processing BACS payments and preparing cheques
