Electrical Design Engineer - Automotive - Northamptonshire - up to £70,000 + Benefits - Ref 1654

I am currently recruiting for a Electrical Design Engineer to work for a leading automotive organisation based in Northamptonshire. Salary up to £70,000 + Benefits.

The organisation is dealing with some of the most fascinating projects the industry has to offer and their client base is of a very high profile nature. The company are small, yet dominate the market they operate within and have an unrivalled reputation for the work they produce which is of the highest quality and finish.

To cope with the growth plans of the business in line with project demands they have the need to appoint a Electrical Design Engineer on a permanent basis.

In this role as an Electrical Design Engineer, you be responsible for looking at the existing library of loom drawings that have previously been completed for their clients and will be expected to modify the drawings in Arcadia software to ensure they're fit purpose. You also will also be responsible for ultimately signing the designs off before the drawings go to the sub contractor for manufacture. When the looms / harnesses come back in, you will be expected to be hands on laying and fitting the looms to the necessary vehicles, however in time this will change as the team grows and a technician will be hired who you would oversee and supervise.

Requirements:

• Experience with LV (low Voltage) - 12 Volts
• Automotive experience
• Experience working for a Tier 1 supplier
• Experience with low volume, but high quality projects
• Hands on experience fitting Looms / Harnesses
