gap construction are currently recruiting for a Design Manager on behalf of an award winning main contractor. Our client are seeking an in-house design manager to work on a number of projects across London.

Performance Objectives

• Ability and Knowledge when returning PQQ'S and tenders on D & B schemes.
• Develop and oversee project timelines and milestones.
• Allocate resources and assign tasks to design team members.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., marketing, engineering) to ensure alignment.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Prepare reports on project status, team performance, and design outcomes.
• Ensure proper documentation of design processes and standards.

Person Specification

• Must have experience with Façade replacement and overall envelope design and heavy cut and carve construction, ideally 5 years' experience at this level.
• Must have extensive experience of managing a novated design team and ensuring deliverables are issued in line with the project programme.
• Good understanding of the tricky interfaces and scope gaps identifying and resolving.
• Good team player.
• Ambitious and if desired, there is an opportunity to head up a team of designers eventually.
