Brake Press Brake Setter/Operator, Stanmore, start asap, temp or temp to perm, £16-£18 ph


Our client, a reputable company specializing in the design, build, and installation of bespoke metalwork for both domestic and commercial buildings, is seeking a skilled Brake Press Brake Setter/Operator. This workshop-based role offers a competitive hourly rate and the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:


Brake press setter/operator will be Setting and operating Press-Brake machines, with a focus on Safan and Amada models. Candidates with considerable experience (5+ years) on other models are also encouraged to apply.
Brake press setter/operator must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings to bend and shape sheet metal according to precise specifications.
Brake press setter/operator will be setting up the machine, selecting the correct tools and materials, and monitoring the fabrication process to ensure parts meet required specifications.
Adhering to strict safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Assisting in performing routine maintenance on the machines.

Requirements:


Extensive experience with Press-Brake machines, particularly Safan and Amada, or a minimum of 5 years' experience with other models.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and fabricating metal parts to exact specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols.
Availability to start as soon as possible.
