We are currently working on behalf of a growing business within the manufacturing and engineering sector with a focus on chemical processing. With customer service and technical knowledge being at the core of everything they do, they truly stand above the competition when it comes to delivering customisable equipment solutions.

With this in mind they are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to work within the team, managing the sales process for their active accounts and then driving and developing new business. The business has seen unprecedented growth in the last few years and the business has a great reputation within the sector they operate in. You will be working with the very best within the industry, who strive for fantastic levels of customer service and quality.

The role of a Sales Engineer:

• Engage with clients to understand their specific needs, constraints, and operational requirements. Ensure that proposals meet these needs.
• Develop detailed proposals that outline the cost of the core equipment as well as the surrounding infrastructure, installation, and any additional costs.
• Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
• Design the ancillary system required for the full functionality of mills, mixers, and other process engineering equipment at the client's site.
• Work closely with the engineering department to ensure that all technical specifications and designs are feasible and optimized for the client's operations.
• responsible for determining these requirements, drafting layouts, creating a comprehensive list of additional components needed beyond the core machinery.

  
 
Qualifications & experience required to be successful in this Sales Engineer role:

• Extensive Sales experience within the capital equipment and engineering sector.
• Chemical Industry process knowledge and experience.
• Good understanding of the sales process for capital equipment manufacture.
• Happy to travel internationally and within the UK
• Good knowledge of Process systems.

So what’s on offer with the Sales Engineer role?

• A basic salary starting at £55,000 - £70,000.
• Monday to Friday 8.30am to 17.00pm.
• Pension contributions matched by the business.
• 25 days holiday (plus English bank holidays).
