Duties
As a SEN Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be joining an Outstanding Rated Specialist School for young people aged 5 – 12, who face difficulties with emotional, social and mental health needs.  You will be key in supporting the Class Teacher and the young people with their learning in a safe environment. Every member of the team has a common goal to empower the young people through learning so they can achieve their goals and a positive future.

Your role as Teaching Assistant will be to care for the children as well as develop their learning whilst in school and outside settings.  You will work with colleagues to develop routine and positive behaviour. You will support the Teacher with the day to day running of the classroom and lesson preparation.

Criteria

  • Experience working with SEN in a primary setting.
  • Level 2 or above Teaching & Learning in Schools.
  • Experience working in a Specialist Education Setting (SEN) employed or voluntary.
  • Knowledge & experience of pupils with SEN or SEMH/ASD
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and having a passion for working within the sector – essential.
  • You must be over the age of 21.
  • A Full UK Driving Licence & access to your own vehicle.
