BookKeeper - Recruitment Industry, Bromley area, up to £35k p.a doe

Reachout Recruit is a niche recruitment agency specialising in supplying temporary and permament staff into the construction and health care industries. We are looking for a Bookkeeper preferably with knowledge within the recruitment industry, that has facilitated weekly factoring and payroll for temps. Based in our Bromley office you will be solely responsible for all book keeping duties:

The responsibilities of the book keeper are: 

  • Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and bills.
  • Issue invoices and manage collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements by comparing statements with the general ledger.
  • Prepare and process payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits.
  • Provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Manage electronic and hard copy filing systems.
  • Utilize accounting software (XERO) to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Ensure accuracy in data entry and reports.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager.

Skills required for the Bookkeeping position: 

  • Certification in Bookkeeping (AAT, ICB)
  • inimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of weekly payroll essential
  • Experience with accounting software Xero preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
