Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a long-standing civil engineering main contractor to manage delivery of an initial scheme in Sunderland

The contractor are a key specialist in heavy civils & infrastructure across sectors including: windfarms, highways, energy and more. They deliver a variety of civil engineering schemes as PC with values from £5m to £20m.

Project is an Energy from Waste transfer facility with a value of £10m.

A family-run and professional contractor who have progressed over several decades to an annual turnover of around £80m. Outstanding record of long-standing staff and self-grown management team... people enjoy working here and tend to stay for a long time!

Duties as Project Manager:

• Managing supply chain.
• NEC contracts - EW's & CE's etc.
• Planning & programming work accordingly.
• Progress meetings with client & local authorities.
• Managing sub-contractors.
• Writing RAMS & checking documentation.
• Monitoring costs & forecasting for project deadlines.

Please note: nationwide travel may be needed on occasion - will be fully expensed by company and further reflected in remuneration package.

Experience Required as Project Manager:

• Must have proven experience working as Senior Site Agent / Project Manager on industrial civil engineering projects (£5m+).
• Must have main contractor management experience.
• Experience within Design & Build projects is essential
• Must have full knowledge with: reinforced concrete, highways, structures, large earthworks etc.
• Must have: SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.

Remuneration as Project Manager:

On offer is a salary of up to £67,500 (DOE) plus generous package (car or allowance, profit share bonus scheme, fuel card, pension, annual leave, healthcare and more).
