Punjabi Teacher Needed

Are you an experienced Punjabi Teacher looking for work ?

PK Education are recruiting a Secondary Punjabi Teacher for a large sized secondary school located in the Wolverhampton area. This role requires an enthusiastic teacher with a positive attitude to teach KS4 & KS5 Sociology on a full-time basis (5 days per week). The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work with a fantastic team in a welcoming environment.

This is a comprehensive 11-18 school and sixth form that caters to children from differemnt backgrounds and abilities. The school require candidates to have extensive curriculum knowledge and experience in a similar role. The candidate must have a Punjabi qualifcation of some kind and have some teaching experience. The school has a strong leadership team in place supporting the improvement of attainment levels.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work alongside the Curriculum Lead to ensure the curriculum is up to date and meets the needs of the students
• Adapt lessons to suit the needs of children
• Create a stimulating learning environment
• Support KS4 and KS5 pupils
• Conduct assessments and progress reports for individual pupils
• Ensure pupils are meeting set targets
• Produce interactive and engaging lesson plans to deliver to the leaners
• Provide additional 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Support pupils with additional GCSE and A-Level support
• Attend parents evenings when required

The successful Punjabi Teacher must:

• Support students with the transition of the next stage of their education or training
• Have previous experience working in a secondary school
• Hold a degree in Sociology or within a simlar subject.
• Have a QTS/ or Punajbi Qualification 
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
• Have strong resilience and patience
• Be a great team-player and form good relationships within the school environment
• Good classroom and behaviour management
