We are working in partnership with a leading Furniture Manufacturer based in West Yorkshire,. Well established our client has been in business for over 50 years and works with some prestigious brands supplying & installing furniture throughout the UK.

The Role 

• Measure and cut materials using manual or automated cutting instruments.
• Operate sewing machines (Single and twin) to sew upholstery and join various sections of covering fabric.
• Apply expert knowledge of upholstery to build (or repair) upholstered furniture using a variety of hand or power tools
• Work with tools and materials such as glue, staples, tacks and nail guns
• Assemble and quality check a wide array of products
• Train new starters, including inexperienced colleagues when required
• Maintain a first-time quality rate 
• Book off completed work orders via the MRP system
• Ensure projects are completed and delivered before the set deadline.
• Conduct routine maintenance of work tools and upholstery machine

What will you bring to the Role? 

• The ability to cut and upholster in a variety of finishes 
• Ability to sew would be advantageous 
• Working to customer specifications 
• Excellent attention to detail and a "right-first-time" approach to manufacturing 
• A proactive approach to teamwork and quality 
• Solid experience in upholstery
