Locations: South West London (Merton)
Daily Rate: (M1) £188.45 - (M6) £244.44 per day PAYE

We are partnering with an all girl's Catholic secondary school in Merton. The school is seeking a qualified and dedicated RE Teacher to join their team in September, on a long-term contract. The schools aim is to provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum

The role is full time, beginning in September, for up to 12 months. Pay is commensurate with experience on the main teaching pay scale - Inner London. 

Mandatory Requirements for an RE Teacher: 
  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Religious Education lessons.
  • Marking students work and providing feedback effectively.
  • Promote a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages participation and promotes overall well-being.
  • Monitor individual student progress, using innovative feedback methods for personalised independent growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create innovative lesson materials and exchange effective teaching strategies.
  • Hold a UK recognised Teaching qualification, with QTS.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of students and the school community.
The Ideal RE Teacher will:
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance with their learning, ensuring that individual educational goals are met.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Help to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and conflict resolution among students.
