Job Title: Young People's Supported Accommodation Worker
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £13-£13.50 per hour and a generous benefits package
Hours: 24 - 36 hours per week - 12 hour shifts


You will join an organisation who are committed to providing safe and supportive accommodation for young people aged 16-18 with varying social, emotional need. Their mission is to empower these young individuals, helping them take important steps towards independent living.

Role Overview: As a Young People's Supported Accommodation Worker, you will play a crucial role in key working and emotional and social support.

Responsibilities:
" Support: You'll offer practical and emotional support to young residents, helping them navigate challenges and build essential life skills.
" Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and well-being of young people, ensuring they have access to necessary services and resources.
" Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and safety planning to create a secure environment.
" Life Skills: Assist with daily living tasks, including budgeting, cooking, and maintaining their living space.
" Empowerment: Encourage independence, self-confidence, and resilience.


Requirements:

" Passion: You believe that everyone deserves a fair chance to discover their potential.


" Experience: Proven experience supporting young people within residential or supported living care, education or in an outreach capacity is essential

" Qualification: Hold the level 3 in health and social care (children and young people) or equivalent, or be willing to secure this within a set timeframe


" Empathy: Understand the unique challenges faced by young individuals and approach your work with empathy.

" Flexibility: You will be required to work on a 12 hour shift basis and will need to be flexible cover various days.
