We are working with a reputable client based in Hemel Hempstead (HP2) who require a professional Buyer. The position is a permanent role paying up to £40k per annum + Benefits. 

Working Hours: Monday - Friday   9.00am - 5.30pm

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Buyer. Having experience within the engineering/technical sector would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will be responsible for:

• Sourcing and evaluating suppliers
• Developing successful purchasing strategies
• Negotiating supplier terms and contracts
• Observing market trends to identify cost saving opportunities
• Maintaining precise records of purchases, prices and inventory levels
• Settling any supplier related issues efficiently
• Conducting regular supplier performance reviews
• Keeping up to date with industry regulations and compliance

To be considered for this role you must have:

• Experience as a B2B buyer and just-in-time purchasing experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively
• A strong analytical mindset
• Supply chain management experience, principles and best practice.
• Experience using procurement and inventory management software/tools
• Excellent orginisational skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment
