Senior Production Engineer

Excellent Salary plus pension and 25 days holiday

East Manchester area, commutable from Oldham, Droylsden, Hyde, Manchester, Ashton-under-Lyne, Stockport, Rochdale

8.00AM-4.30PM Monday-Friday

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer/Production engineer, with experience of running high capital investment projects looking to work on a large manufacturing site with progression available?

This role will suit an ambitious candidate who would like to work in a leadership roles whilst remaining hands on. Leadership training will be provided.
You will be responsible for managing high capital investment projects such as improving the factory layout, cost reduction projects and assisting the drive towards greener products.

The Role

1. Full Time permanent role on a large manufacturing site
2. Managing continuous improvement projects in the manufacturing environment.
3. Manage new product developments with a focus on sustainability and cost reduction
4. Utilise CAD for layout sketches etc.
5. Mentor junior production engineers

The Person

1. Academic/working background with manufacturing/engineering. This could be degree, HND, City and Guilds, or apprentiship.
2. Working experience of lean/ continuous improvement principles; 5S, FMEA, VSM, Process flow
3. Working experience of managing high capital investment projects.
4. No leadership experience is required but you should have the motivation to move into a team leading role
