The Principal Designer Role
The successful Principal Designer will join a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing health and safety across a variety of construction projects. The role involves -
- Acting as the Principal Designer on multiple projects, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
- Providing expert advice on health and safety matters during the design and construction phases.
- Coordinating with clients, architects, and contractors to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Preparing and reviewing health and safety documentation including pre-construction information and construction phase plans.
- This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale residential developments to large, complex commercial builds, providing a diverse and engaging work environment.
The ideal Principal Designer will have:
- Specific experience in Principal Designer roles.
- A background in construction or design.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety standards.
- Consultancy experience and a proactive, positive attitude.
- Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction Certificate, APS membership, or equivalent.
