Ridgeway & Co are proud to be partnering with a leading dry lining contractor in Bedford to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This is an opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team with a competitive salary of up to £85,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. The role will be solely based within the Bedford region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to ensure project viability.
- Monitor project costs, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and submit progress payment claims to clients.
- Assist in resolving disputes or claims related to costs or variations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and regulations related to quantity surveying.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cost estimation techniques and relevant software.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
