Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving growth and efficiency within procurement? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager to join a large enterprise serving millions of customers!
 
As a key player, you will manage and optimise categories, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives. You will be a commercial expert for the category you lead, and will utilise this market expertise to develop and deliver strategies.
 
The right candidate will have/be:
 
  • Proven experience in category management, with experience in end-to-end procurement including sourcing, supplier management, market analysis
  • Ability to plan and execute strategies to achieve long-term goals and objectives
  • Capable of leading complex supplier negotiations up to £100m in value
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive category performance
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
 
With the office based in Reading, you can expect to visit around twice a week to work closely and collaborate with the team.
 
In terms of package on offer, you can expect a base salary of between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience, plus a range of excellent benefits.
