Are you a Qualified Science Teacher?

Rotherwood Teachers are seeking a qualified and experienced Science Teacher for a full time role, this will commence September 2024 and will be on going; this is an exciting opportunity for any Science Teacher.

Highlights of this position:

This role will commence as soon as possible and will be on going

Teaching KS3 and KS4

Differentiating lessons for low ability students Tracking and assessing pupils

This will be a full time role and will include some General Cover

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of teaching Science

PGCE Science or equivalent

Be motivated, energetic and passionate about the development of young people

Have strong subject knowledge

Responsibilities as a Science Teacher will include:

Prepare and deliver Science lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities.

Assess and mark work, give appropriate feedback.

Complete and maintain records of pupils' progress and development.

Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations

Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour

Undertake pastoral duties, supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.

Undertake the role of form tutor.

Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole-school training events.
