Job Description :
My client is looking to recruit a SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Coordinator for their Storage and distribution site in Somerset. This is a newly created role and the successful SHEQ Coordinator / SHEQ Manager will maintain and enhance the site safety, health, environmental, and quality standards within the storage and distribution sector, with specific knowledge of BRC accreditation and Sedex requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
 
·Ensure compliance with BRC accreditation standards in storage and distribution: - Develop and implement appropriate systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with BRC standards.
·Manage Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) requirements: .
·Safety, health, environment, and quality management: - Develop and implement SHEQ policies, procedures, and practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
·Training and awareness: - Develop and deliver SHEQ training programs for employees, including BRC and Sedex compliance.
·Compliance and reporting: - Stay updated on relevant legislative changes and industry best practices related to transport safety, health, environment, and quality.
Qualifications and Skills:
·Proven experience working in a SHEQ role
·Knowledge of BRC Global Standard for Storage and Distribution.
·Familiarity with Sedex requirements and responsible sourcing practices.
·Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
·Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
·Professional certifications related to SHEQ management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO lead auditor) are desirable.

This role is a full time permanent role however part time hours maybe possible.  

This role will may suit a person that has a compliance, BRCGS, BRC, Audit, SHEQ, HSE, Warehouse, QHSE, Transport background.  This role is commutable from Bridgwater, Taunton, Shepton Mallet, Yeovil, Wells, Glastonbury, Wincanton, Highbridge.
