About The Company:

Our client is a £30M manufacturing organisation with over 100 years of history producing some of the most highly engineered bespoke and off-the-shelf products. They work with clients across a variety of industries including automotive, oil and gas, construction and general industry.

Following recent investment and ambitious plans to double in size over the next 3-5 years, they are looking to drive change across the business focusing on establishing a ‘best in class’ manufacturing operation. They want to drive best practice across all functions of the business and establish a culture of continuous improvement in order to facilitate their current and future business needs.

General Manager – The Role:

This is a new role for the business and will be responsible for all areas of the business. It will take a deep dive into the organisation, identifying areas for improvement and driving change across the business.

It will work closely with all functions of the business, from sales through to finance, in order to make the business more efficient, productive and profitable. As it is a new role for the organisation you will be able to shape the role how you see fit and drive change from day one.

General Manager – Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct a deep dive into all business operations and develop and execute a strategy to drive change, improvements and growth across all functions

- Help define the organisation’s business strategy, outlining key targets, KPIs and behaviours in order to drive success

- Implement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency across the business

- Manage and lead a well-established team to drive change and provide opportunities for progression and success

General Manager – You:

- Min. 10 years experience working within an engineering/manufacturing organisation

- Strong track record driving operational change and transformation across an organisation with an established history

- Prior experience leading a team through a period of change

- Experience managing P&Ls and budgets
