The Role

 

In the role of Electrical Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for supervisors, electricians, labourers, apprentices and sub-contractors, as you manage projects with a value between £500 and £250,000, within budget and to agreed timescales.

 

Based at our offices in Nantwich, your duties will include:

 

  • Manage varied contracts from initial enquiry to closure, including labour resource, materials and sub-contractors
  • Meeting clients, advising and assisting with design and installation queries.
  • Estimating, Planning and tracking of projects.
  • Attending client meetings/Site visits as and when required
  • Financial control of projects to meet KPI’s
  • A proactive approach to ensure compliance with H&S, liaising with SHEQ management.
  • Profitable delivery of contracts to the clients’ satisfaction in accordance with internal processes.
  • Maintain existing customer base & look to develop new opportunities.
  • Through regular 1-1’s, encourage and motivate the team that works under your management control, promoting a positive culture through learning and engagement.

Our Requirements

 

  • Have a health and safety certification SMSTS or similar, preferred but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant electrical qualifications
  • Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for multiple projects
  • Some estimating experience with material take-off, preferred but not essential

Although not essential, experience working with Sage accounting would be advantageous, although training can be provided.

  • Permanent contract, with full time hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
