Quantity Surveyor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an up and coming main contractor in Southampton. The business has been established for over 20 years, undertaking projects across the fit-out, change of use and new build sectors. Their workload is varied and can include working on projects across the residential, education, healthcare, commercial and defence sectors valuing typically up to £2mil.

About this role of Quantity Surveyor:

As Quantity Surveyor you will spend your time between office and site visits, managing the commercial aspect of the build process from tender stage to completion. You will be working alongside experienced Surveyors and Contracts Managers, reporting into the Operations Director.

Responsibilities of this Quantity Surveyor:

• Be involved in tendering of workload
• Manage projects commercially from contract award to completion
• Liaise directly with the client
• Report upline to line manager

Requirements for this Quantity Surveyor role:

• Have obtained an industry related qualification (HNC / Degree etc)
• Have experience working within a main contractor
• Have administered JCT forms of contract
• Be happy to travel to sites across the South Coast as and when required
