The role - Site Supervisor

We have an exciting role available for an experienced Site Supervisor to join our growing team of passionate people delivering a diverse portfolio of projects. As a Site Supervisor, you will be delivering a variety of environmental enhancement projects including river restoration, fish passage, ecological mitigation and restoration work from concept through to delivery. Projects vary in location across the UK and the majority require the successful candidate to work away from home.

The work you are likely to carry out on site includes but is not limited to:

• Managing and assisting the Site Technicians in delivering works such as setting up site (fencing, signage, temporary footpaths etc.) assisting with delivery of materials and equipment, observing that excavations are to the correct depth and in line with design, installing ecological enhancement features such as berms
• Where necessary procuring additional machinery or off-hiring machinery no longer required to ensure financial health of the project
• Ensuring site paperwork is in order, including permits to dig/break ground, daily sign in sheet etc.
• Maintain Health and Safety standards on site including maintaining fire extinguishers, first aid kits and appropriate signage, and reporting any issues or concerns to the Site Manager
• Working with the Site Technicians and Site Manager to ensure that the project programme is on schedule and works are continuing at a rate that will meet programme

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience in an on-site supervisory role - ideally within an environmental context
• Holds a valid CSCS card
• Has completed SSSTS
• Holds a First aid certificate (although training can be arranged if you do not hold this)
• Holds a Fire Marshall qualification (although training can be arranged if you do not hold this)
• Has Full driving license (to get to site and drive our vehicles!)
• Is prepared to stay away Monday to Friday where necessary (subs paid!)
• Is able to undertake the physical demands of the role as well as having a good commercial understanding and understanding of Health & Safety
• We have an excellent record of training and developing our Site Teams and providing promotion opportunities both through the ranks onsite (Site Manager, Project Manager) and into the rest of the business (for example into the Design team) so this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow with the business.
