Abatec are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our client, a leading service provider in the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors to work in partnership with Thames Water to deliver fantastic infrastructure, brilliantly and to make things better for current and future generations.

The project you would be allocated to is based in North Wiltshire, but flexibility is required as there are various projects ongoing in and round the Thames Valley region so you would be expected to travel and site location will be subject to change and project programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to take the lead on delivery of a big range of schemes to ensure out performance against the current programme and transition into the new client investment period, AMP 8.

As a Project Manager, you will:

• Have overall responsibility for the management and successful delivery of single complex projects or packages of projects delivered under the Thames Water Framework. 
• Have specific responsibilities include management of; health and safety, design, customer relations, quality, environmental, programme and the cost/value during both pre-production (ECI phase) and production.  
• Monitor the progress of offsite and onsite operations against deadlines and budget limitations.  
• Create a positive team culture and environment on your projects to support improved wellbeing and performance. 
• In addition to the normal attributes of a successful leader this role will require determination and doggedness as you will be changing for the better the way in which many people currently work embedding production line thinking and our “offsite first” philosophy. 
• Ensure all projects are assigned on time, within budget and with margin improvements where possible through resource and procurement efficiencies. 
• Collate/update reports and issue in a timely manner.
• Need to maintain internal systems with accurate data Set targets to the project teams and capturing progress, to report both internally and to our client.

Our client requires a Project Manager with:

• Excellent team leader with great people management skills and strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational capabilities.  
• Experience of both pre-production and production project management in a major project's environment desirable.  
• The ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.  
• Contract administration experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.  Has an appreciation of MMC, Lean Construction, Agile Programme Management, Production Thinking and other techniques that assure programme, cost and quality performance.  
• BIM/digital experience.
• Minimum HNC qualified in a manufacturing/construction subject desirable. 
• IT literacy.
• Professional qualification.
• SMSTS safety qualification and relevant CSCS card.
• Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or construction organisation is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of people. 

Salary and benefits include:

£65,000 - £75,000 per annum DOE
